What affirmation apps actually cost per year (2026 price table)

Six Little Lift cards for the intention “I know what my habits cost me”: Identity — I am someone who adds up the yearly number before I tap Subscribe.; Believe — I believe a habit is worth paying for once.; Embody — I feel the small steadiness of a budget I understand.; Act — Today I write down every app that renews.; Receive — I accept the refunds I am owed and ask for them.; Release — I let the free trial end without me.ONE INTENTION · SIX ANGLESI know what my habits cost meIDENTITYI am someone who adds upthe yearly number before Itap Subscribe.BELIEVEI believe a habit is worthpaying for once.EMBODYI feel the smallsteadiness of a budget Iunderstand.ACTToday I write down everyapp that renews.RECEIVEI accept the refunds I amowed and ask for them.RELEASEI let the free trial endwithout me.

Affirmation apps mostly cost between $50 and $70 a year at list price, and the number that matters is the two-year total, because the habit either sticks or it does not. This table has eight apps, including the one I make, at list price as shown on their store listing or site on the date at the bottom. It is updated monthly.

The price table

Prices are list prices in US dollars where the listing states them. “Check listing” means the site describes a paid tier but the price is shown only in the app or store, and I will not guess. Store and site links are under Sources.

Three notes on reading the table. Yearly prices assume you renew once. Lifetime tiers are one-time payments, usually priced at two to three times the yearly plan, so they break even around year three if you keep using the app. And “check listing” is not a dodge: several of these companies show prices only after onboarding, and a number copied from a third-party round-up is not a number I would trust.

How subscription pricing works in this category

Almost every affirmation app uses the same funnel. A quiz personalises your categories, the quiz ends on a paywall, and the paywall shows a yearly price with a monthly price beside it to make the yearly look sensible. A trial of three to seven days converts to a yearly charge unless you cancel. Lifetime tiers appear as an upsell for people who hesitate.

None of that is dishonest, and it is how the category leader grew. It does mean two things for you. First, the free tier is usually more usable than the paywall suggests, and the close button is small on purpose. Second, the yearly plan is a bet that you will still be using the app in month eleven, and most people are not.

How credits work instead

Little Lift uses credits. You start with 5 free. A six-card deck costs one credit. An optional 30-reminder plan, written from your two or three goals, costs five credits once. A pack of 50 credits is $9.99 in the US, or the local price your store shows, since stores set prices by country. Credits never expire, there is no subscription, and there are no ads.

The trade is simple. A subscription charges you for time whether you practise or not. Credits charge you for decks. If you write one deck a month, that is twelve credits a year. If you write one and use it for three months, that is four. If you stop, nothing renews and you keep what you bought.

Credits are not automatically cheaper. If you would write a deck a day, a subscription to something might be better value. Credits are cheaper for the way most people actually use affirmation apps, which is in bursts, around a specific situation, with gaps between.

Two-year arithmetic

Take the most common case: you try an app in a difficult month, use it daily for six weeks, then open it occasionally.

  • On a $69.99 yearly plan you pay $69.99 for year one and, if you forget to cancel, $69.99 for year two. That is $139.98 for roughly six weeks of daily use.
  • On a $49.99 yearly plan the same pattern is $99.98.
  • On credits, six weeks of daily practice is one or two decks, which the five free credits already cover. If you add a reminder plan and a few more decks over the year, a $9.99 pack of 50 covers that too, and there is no year two.

The point is not that credits win every comparison. It is that the shape of the pricing should match the shape of the habit, and affirmation habits are bursty.

What to check before paying for any of them

  • The trial length and when it converts. Put a reminder in your calendar the day before. Store subscriptions are refunded by Apple or Google, not the developer.
  • Whether ads stop on the paid tier. Read recent reviews on the listing for that phrase specifically.
  • Whether custom lines export. If you wrote them, you should be able to take them.
  • Whether the lifetime tier is really lifetime. Some are “lifetime” of the current version.
  • The cancel path. Both stores let you cancel in settings; you do not have to go through the app.

Where Little Lift fits

Little Lift is the credits row of the table: 5 free, one credit per deck, five for a reminder plan, 50 for $9.99, nothing renews. If the specific comparison you are weighing is against a yearly plan on iPhone, Little Lift vs You Are sets the two models side by side, including the Android question.
